Tiny Summer Wonders
“I chose to see the world through a lens of Wonder,
and everything began to BLOOM”
~ Amber Rae
It has been a little while since I've posted in the Wonder Wednesday series, as I've been writing about peace in the Creating Ripples Series in preparation for International Day of Peace, September 21. But today I thought I'd share some of my treasures from my Wonder Walks that I've captured with my Easy-Macro lens on my phone and on my new Sony a6000, plus these exquisite poems and quotes. I hope they are enjoyed.
I cannot wait to share with you all the treasures I'm creating for Awakening to Wonder! I spent the entire day recording the audio meditations for you all. I am getting more and more excited every day as this course begins to take form! More info on that in the coming weeks. For now, allow the potency in these images and words to be received.
"My work is loving the world. Here the sunflowers, there the hummingbird - equal seekers of sweetness. Here the quickening yeast; there the blue plums. Here the clam deep in the speckled sand. Are my boots old? Is my coat torn? Am I no longer young and still not half-perfect? Let me keep my mind on what matters, which is my work, which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished. The phoebe, the delphinium. The sheep in the pasture, and the pasture. Which is mostly rejoicing, since all ingredients are here, Which is gratitude, to be given a mind and a heart and these body-clothes, a mouth with which to give shouts of joy to the moth and the wren, to the sleepy dug-up clam, telling them all, over and over, how it is that we live forever."
~ Mary Oliver
"If we can remain resilient, if we can continue our questioning, our developing, our hoping, if we can live in awe and in the depths of wonder, we will continue moving into the only process that now matters – our authentic maturation as a species. It is in this way and only this way that we will enable the Earth to bloom once again."
~ Brian Swimme, The Universe is a Green Dragon
